The High Five exercise is effectively teaching your pup to give you their paw, then gradually encouraging them to lift it higher and higher until they are giving you a high 5!
This exercise helps to develop the muscles round their shoulders and their elbows. And encourages them to flex and extend their elbows. This will help them to pick up their feet when they are walking and increase the stability of their elbow joints.
You start from a straight sitting position, ask them for their paw. It is best to stand straight in front of them (I was standing to the side so you can see clearly). All movements should be in a straight line. When they give you their paw, reward them and gradually increase the height that they reach up to. Repeat it five times on each side.
